By accessing or using RoofCost.io (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. The Service

RoofCost.io provides cost-estimation tools and educational content related to residential roofing. The Site is operated by Brent Engelman as a sole proprietor.

3. Not Professional Advice

RoofCost.io estimates are informational only. They are based on general pricing data and the inputs you provide. Actual costs may vary significantly based on site conditions, contractor pricing, local permits, unforeseen repairs, and market conditions. We are not a licensed contractor, inspector, insurance adjuster, or legal/financial advisor.

4. Contractor Referrals

When you request quotes through the Site, we route your request to third-party contractor lead networks. We do not employ, endorse, or vet the contractors who may contact you. You are solely responsible for evaluating and contracting with any roofer. We are not liable for the actions, pricing, quality, or disputes arising from any contractor relationship.

5. Paid Features

Paid features (e.g., the $19 Pro PDF Report) are delivered digitally upon successful payment. Due to the digital nature, all sales are final and non-refundable except where required by law. If you experience a technical issue receiving your report, contact support@roofcost.io within 30 days.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Site for unlawful purposes, scrape the Site, submit false information, interfere with operation or security, or use the Site to harass others.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, tools, calculators, software, text, and graphics on RoofCost.io are owned by Brent Engelman and protected by copyright.

8. Third-Party Links and Affiliates

The Site contains links to third-party sites and affiliate partners. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. We may earn commissions from affiliate links.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOFCOST.IO AND BRENT ENGELMAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brent Engelman and RoofCost.io from any claims arising from your use of the Site.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Indiana.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
